Use Google Calender. First sign up Google Calender. Update the event detail you want to share with your target audience and make it public. Next, insert Google Calender on your department/business unit webpage and you are done.

Step-by-Step
Go to My Calenders, click the little triangle on your right and select calender settings, you should see something like this

Scroll all the way down to Embed This Calendar and follow the instruction.
